Bright Morning thinks the Nez Percé girl’s glance tells her, “Run, run, even though they kill you. It is better to die here on the street.” What do you think the author might be foreshadowing with this statement?

  1. The author might be foreshadowing that something bad is going to happen when someone wants her as her slave. Probably because Nez Percé girl says it is better to die on the street. So probably the person who wants her is going to be mean and treat her bad.In the statement the author is foreshadowing that she might get hurt or possibly killed buy her new owner.

  2. i think that her owner might going to kill her so that
why the other indian is giving her a warnig.

  3. I think Nez perce is saying that even if they kill you people will be alarmed and call the police and its better that she never goes through slavery. ITs better to die then being treated as slave and doing exhausting work.

  4. The author might be foreshadowing that something might happen.Even many the author might be foreshadowing is b because she might get hurt from her new owner.

  5. I think that the girl is giving her that sign to run it is better to die on the streets than in here.So i think that her owner is going to give her so much work that she is going to be exuhsted .Also her owner might not give her something to eat and she will die of hunger .Thats what i think the author is telling the readers about that look.

  6. I think the author is trying to foreshadow a terrible event. Remember what the girl said “Run run even though they kill you. It’s better to die on the street.”

  7. The author might be foreshadowing that if she does runaway that something bad will happen to Bright morning. Maybe if she does run that they will kill her when she`s trying to escape.

  8. I think that the author is foreshadowing that bright morning might not stay with the family she has been sold to because of the girls glance.

  9. I think the author might be foreshadowing that she is going to get killed by the gods because she is trying to escape.I also think the author might be foreshadowing that she might be giving her a warning.

  10. I think the author is saying that she might be in trouble that the guys would try to catch her from running away or it could be that she gets away

  11. I think the author meet by that because it said in the book run run even though they kill you it is better to die here on the street siad the little girl.
I alos think that something is going to happen to her but I think that she is going die in the next chapter.

  12. I think the author is foreshadowing the girl that told Bright Morning run run, even though they might shoot you it is better to die on the streets.I also think that Bright Morning’s owner might not let her sleep because she is going to have to work all the time day and night.I think that the girl that told Bright Morning that to run away that it is better that they kill you then to work here I think that she is going to try to run away and she might die.

  13. I think the author might be foreshadowing that if you try to run away they will always find you and then they will kill you. Or that its better to die of hunger than to do work all day. And if your family finds you they have to kill you.

  14. i think the author is saying that she might run away so she can’t be in big trouble but then the author said she might run away so thats way she’s in big trouble and she said to her mind that she better get kill that she doesn’t wanted to be in broublems so she said i will better get kill by a ran over because she didn’t wanted them to catch her so she wanted to die.

  15. I think the author is probably foreshadowing because something might happen to bright morning.I think the author is trying to say that you should try to escape then me slaves. I think also the author says its better to die street means all the people who try to escape they died so i think its better to die with all the people who tried. So take a chance.

  16. I think that the author is foreshadowing her because the Nez Perce said run run it is better to die here on the street than the spaniards killing you also I think that bright morning is going to die because I remember that in a chapter it said that bright morning was showing happiness.

  17. i think the nez pece said that its better to die in the streets because maybe they could find her in the streets

  18. The author is foreshowing that if you try to make her a slave she will kill you or maybe when she says run, run, run trying to say your in trouble and she doesn’t want to hurt she is trying to run because maybe something wrong is going happen to you if you get near her i think thats what the author is foreshowing to you.

  19. Well I agree with Ashly because the author might be forshadowing that something bad is going to happen or that they are going to kill brightmorning and runningbird.

  20. I think what the author be foreshadowing is that may be the author is giving us a hint how Bright Morning and Running Bird are going to escape. Maybe in the night Bright Morning will dig a tunnel that heads to where Running Bird is, and they’ll run until they make it home.
